Anime Review Debut - Sword Art Online

"Sword Art Online" , i'm sure everyone already knows about this, but nonetheless i'll review it  today, though this is the anime that made me hooked to otaku culture , it still has it's flaws, pretty major actually, so let's start the review !

-------This is my own review , so it may become a bit biased ,after all , it's my personal opinion on it--------


"In the near future, a Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online has been released where players control their avatars with their bodies using a piece of technology called Nerve Gear.
One day, players discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive unless they reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss. However, if they die in the game, they die in real life. Their struggle for survival starts now..."That's the synopsis at least.

Let's talk about the actual review , shall we?

==Story (8) ===

As you can see in the synopsis , the actual concept of the plotline is actually really solid , though actually almost the same as the "//.Hack " series , i think it's not used to it's full potential, with the constant (really short) meetings with different girls that makes the anime lose it's actual worth. Though pretty decent it's not that great either.But Still proved enjoyable (For me at least).

==Art/Animation (9)===

Even though it's not that anti-mainstream, the art really did fit SAO , it's pretty fluid and neat , sasuga A-1 picures , i guess?

==Sound (9)===

I enjoyed the OP and ED at each episode , the seiyuus did a good work too , the OST really fit in the anime too,not much i can say about the sounds in SAO

==Char Dev. (7) ===

The char dev. in SAO is a bit dissapointing,what could have become something amazing, was ruined by the char dev. that is  too rushed , and made the anime not what it could be.

Let's start with the MC , Kirigaya "Kirito" Kazuto , he becomes so OP at the beginning till the end ,without any developments,which kinda makes his char dev. really poor.

Then the lead heroine ,Asuna  goes from the "Epic swashbuckling bishojo" to the typical "damsel in distress" which proves the lack of development in asuna's part.

Don't get me started with the other characters, who only exist to prove that Kirito is a fkin badass

And the other girls (Silica,Liz,etc) appeared in a really short period of time which was very rushed which resulted in a open-ended relationship with kirito which is really dissapointing , because the lack of development was everywhere in this anime.

==Enjoyment(9)===

Despite the things about the char dev. i find that SAO really enjoyable as i rewatched it time and time again i never got bored by the one anime that made me into an Otaku.
